Purpose The SAP Technical Architect – Senior is a subject matter expert in one or several SAP technologies, and can have technical management responsibilities.
The SAP Technical Architects research and design technology solutions that may span the full spectrum of hardware and software, as it relates to SAP products. They may create prototypes and lead initial development or enhancement efforts and provide recommendations regarding technology. This individual concentrates on SAP solutions to significantly impact the operational effectiveness of the organization or cutting edge technologies that will drive new business. Provide assistance with escalated support issues, mentor others within technology-related areas, and provide subject matter expertise on project teams.
The SAP Technical Architect Senior can assume leadership responsibilities of specific efforts or technical tasks, and guide peers and more junior team members.
Essential Functions

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with SAP ECC, Kronos, and other timekeeping systems.
  • Proven experience in configuring and implementing payroll and timekeeping solutions.
  • Strong understanding of labor relations and union management.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Deliverables

  • Translation of business and product requirements into technical designs, models and software architecture.
  • Development management
  • Document technical requirements and constraints as basis for architectural decisions.
  • RICEF Technical Design and Data Modeling
  • Support and advise implementation projects by ensuring technical and architectural feasibility, readiness, and compliance.
  • Review design documents to ensure compliance with technical standards and best practices.
  • Proposal and implementation plans of improvements and innovations, development processes, and methodologies.
  • Application design with detailed process flows
  • Level III support for incidents, including Root Cause Analysis

  • Technical data migration
  • SAP HXM
  • SAP infrastructure High Availability, Disaster Recovery and Cloud strategies
  • Involvement in at least two full cycle SAP implementations of the SAP product being supported
  • Knowledge of change and release management processes
  • Ability to estimate reliably the time, effort, dependencies, and resources required to complete a development task
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in client-focused service delivery environments
  • Knowledge of IT strategies and how they support client business, from a technical advisor standpoint.
  • Ability to conduct research and analysis of complex technologies for at least one area of specialty.
  • Knowledge of technological advances related to subject-matter
  • Skill in making presentations and effectively communicating recommendations to individuals and groups
Preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Certification in SAP or Kronos.
  • Experience with benefits administration and integration with payroll systems.
