Compliance Specialist
Job description
SUMMARY:
This person coordinates and administers a variety of Compliance responsibilities, including but not limited to record-keeping, project coordination, audits, second level review support and assist in onboarding/offboarding, as needed. Supports assigned client base by understanding client requirements to positively impact business goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administration:

Conduct various internal audits to ensure compliance with employment law

Conduct client audits periodically to ensure compliance with client contracts

Participate in the Second Level Review process for selected clients

Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with employment-related laws and regulations
-
Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with client specific requirements
-
Support the HRA team with onboarding/offboarding roles and responsibilities when requested

Work with our Contracts and Legal Department to ensure proper onboarding setup for new clients

Validate pre-employment screening orders for new hires, according to client required pre-employment screening requirements

Review background vendor package for consistency with client background check requirements, add any missing components

Ensure all client-specific paperwork is sent and signed, completed, and properly filed, following up as needed, prior to the individual beginning work

Validate employee records in PeopleSoft have current documentation uploaded

Understand the I-9 process in order to help the HRA with questions to process compliant I-9

Research state laws around required benefits such as Sick leave, FLSA, Minimum wage, remote employment, expense reimbursement, leave requirements and any other state specific laws that may apply

Coordinate with HR Managers on outstanding open audits

Assist Compliance lead and manager with any other requirements as needed to ensure Dexian is following laws and client agreements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate should have:

3+ years’ experience working in compliance or Human Resources within a staff augmentation or managed services line of business

Strong communicator of oral and written work; also, good presentation skills

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Education to include BS or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Technically proficient in working w/ an ERP system as well as Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Demonstrate a positive and professional image
