Job description
In this role, you will play a vital part in managing supplier interactions, performance, and relationships within your assigned category. You will partner closely with internal team members to thoroughly assess supplier performance. Your primary objective is to maintain the effectiveness of our sourcing initiatives. Furthermore, you will support and implement category strategies and projects aimed at reducing costs. Your involvement in benchmarking analysis will contribute to improving the cost efficiency, supply chain, and quality of our procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Performance Management
Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize procurement processes
Apply understanding of assigned category to drive effective planning, forecasting and execution.
Utilize negotiation skills to maintain favorable terms with suppliers
Collaborate internally to drive and develop key performance measures/metrics for key regional Suppliers and monitor supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement
Apply analytical thinking to resolve procurement challenges.
Leading the procurement process for your designated area
Collaborating with internal counterparts to gain a comprehensive view of supplier performance
Supporting the implementation of category strategies and cost-saving projects
Participating in supplier benchmarking analysis to enhance cost, supply, and quality aspects of procurement activities
Business Partnering
Maintain positive relationships with supplier(s) and effectively resolve supplier performance/capability issues to ensure alignment with strategic direction.
Partner with internal stakeholders to build a comprehensive view of supplier performance.
Requirements
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing or vendor management
Preferred by not required bachelors degree in supply chain management, Business or related field
A proven track record in procurement
Proven experience in procurement, sourcing or vendor management
Proficient in written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
