DevOps Engineer Specialist
Job description
Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Mclean VA – Hybrid
Duration: Contract to Hire
Must Have:
- 7+ years of experience with Cloud (AWS)
- Expertise in Automation
- Proficiency in Python
- CI/CD (specific focus on CD)
- Experience with Terraform
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Grafana Cloud and Argo (nice to have)
- AWS certification is preferred
HM Notes:
- This is a backfill role.
- The position is primarily focused on Continuous Delivery (CD), while the CI team handles Jenkins and EKS work. The candidate should have experience with both CI and CD.
- Python is used for driving automation, so the candidate must be able to write code, not just scripts.
- Experience managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform is essential.
- The ideal candidate will have strong DevOps experience with Python and AWS expertise.
- The manager will prioritize evaluating soft skills alongside technical abilities.
- The last candidate was particularly strong with Argo CD.
