Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Payroll Specialist I to join the Payroll Customer Service team. This role is responsible for handling payroll-related inquiries, processing transactions, and providing high-quality support to ensure payroll operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of payroll systems, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage work orders using the most appropriate Call Tracking Interface (CTI) while ensuring accurate and comprehensive data capture for audit trails and statistical analysis.
- Document and maintain records of payroll inquiries, resolutions, and process changes for internal reference and compliance.
- Identify inefficiencies within existing payroll operations and proactively recommend enhancements.
- Assist in documenting and refining processes to improve workflow efficiency and accuracy.
- Serve as the first point of contact for field managers, taking full ownership of payroll-related inquiries and issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Support incoming payroll-related calls during peak call volume, adhering to established procedures and performance standards.
- Provide knowledgeable assistance for all payroll applications, including SAP, MyCPM, MySTAFF, MyRequests, and other related platforms.
- Process off-cycle checks in accordance with standard payroll procedures.
- Review and address necessary corrections identified in internal data audits.
- Ensure payroll transactions comply with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of customer service experience in a call center or relevant payroll operations experience.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, complex, and deadline-driven service environment.
Technical Skills:
- Payroll processing knowledge preferred.
- Experience with SAP Payroll Systems is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in payroll-related applications such as MyCPM, MySTAFF, and MyRequests is a plus.
