MUREX BA
4 days onsite in Washington, D.C.

The primary responsibilities would include:

  • Act as Business Analyst for Capital Markets line of business within Treasury. Specifically, this includes Risk (Liquidity, Market, etc.,) Management, Issuances, buybacks, derivatives, valuations of issuances/buybacks/derivatives, trade life cycle, debt allocation as well as applications associated with these capabilities.
  • Represent as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Murex implementation project for ALM/BSM implementation streams?
  • Help to create and enrich user stories requirements and to define user testing acceptance criteria.
  • Independently perform validation and regression tests of the ALM/BSM solutions. Perform analysis of the breaks in the reports, investigate underlying issues, reconcile to Murex findings and report issues.
  • Provide relevant recommendations (if applicable), as an outcome of the validation and regression exercise.
  1. Mentor and leverage junior resources in the regression and validation testing. Train business and IT resources on applications.
  • Structure feedback and requirements from ALM/BSM stream concisely and consistently convey them to the project implementation team?
  • Assist in developing and executing the test cases. Perform user acceptance test cases and do the reconciliations as needed to validate that test results are in line with requirements and expectations.
  • Collaborate with business in gathering, reconciling and structuring ALM/BSM data for Murex implementation.
  • Maintain issue status logs and follow up with project stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved.?
  • Prepare reports and status updates for stakeholders and management.?
  • Collaborate with Murex and business for impact assessment of changes to implementations.??
  • Ensure all requirements in the scoping, user stories and testing documents are delivered by Murex as expected.
  • Effectively prioritize requirements and maintain scope on a tight leash.
  • Contribute to a proper and timely implementation of the new platform.?
  • Help creating and maintaining documentations for ALM/BSM functionality.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the World Bank Group

The candidate should possess:

  • Excellent documentation and written communication skills, be a skilled troubleshooter and problem solver, be able to deliver results within tight timelines and in compliance with defined internal control / quality assurance requirements.
  • Strong experience in supporting implementation of integrated financial system applications – preparing specifications, performing design analysis and testing, etc. is expected.
  • Strong working knowledge with the Murex system including specific knowledge of the following
  • Simulation (Detailed and Consolidated)
  • Market Data
  • MLC
  • MRA/MRB
  • Market Scenarios
  • Trade Lifecycle/Events
  • MX Reporting/Datamart
  • Front & Back Office Business Processes
  • Good working knowledge of financial instruments including bonds, bank deposits, repo agreements, futures, and OTC derivatives (swaps, swaptions, callable swaps, caps / floors, FX forwards).
  • Good understanding of curve construction models such as OIS, SOFR, RFR, etc. as well as valuation models for vanilla derivatives such as swaps, swaptions, cap/floors, etc.
  • Good understanding of ALM/BSM measurements including risk sensitivities (DV01, FX Basis DV01, etc.), liquidity coverage ratios, cash flow simulation, FX / interest rate fixing simulation, and stress testing.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and SQL is required.
  • Excellent personal organization skills and ability to take things to closure without follow-ups
  • Progress toward professional accreditations such as the CFA or FRM is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Summit system is preferred.

    4 Supporting the loan interface build for the ALM/BSM MX implementation Contribute to the analysis of loan representation solution. Validate the proposed solution. Deliverables meet established and agreed upon quality standards
    5 Preparing documentations Business and IT documents related to ALM/BSM implementation. Deliverables meet established and agreed upon quality standards
    6 Mentor/Train and leverage resources Contribute to knowledge gain of the resources which in turn leads to increased efficiency of the stream. Deliverables meet established and agreed upon quality standards
