Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location:
St. Petersburg Florida (Onsite 4 days a week)

Job Description:

As a senior member of the mechanical design team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical documentation and collaborating closely with clients and team members to ensure project success.

Position Details/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design process for multiple mechanical projects, managing production budgets, schedules, and personnel.
  • Lead projects through all phases, including bidding, design, permitting, and construction, while managing client expectations.
  • Develop and implement the best design solutions by leveraging industry knowledge and considering customer needs and budget requirements.
  • Provide design direction and guidance to team members, working directly with Revit CADD technicians to ensure quality and constructability.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers and project teams, offering quality control and value engineering options throughout the design process.
  • Coordinate mechanical and plumbing systems with electrical and other disciplines.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with at least 10 years of relevant experience and excellent communication skills.
  • A detail-oriented, quality-driven designer with strong knowledge of mechanical systems’ constructability and installation methods, and a professional engineer (P.E.) license.
  • A proven leader with experience in managing and mentoring an engineering team.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes (IPC, IMC, IBC, ASHRAE) required; experience with VRV, WSHP, DX Split systems, packaged equipment, and/or CADD/Revit experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems at both strategic and functional levels.
