Job Title: Product Owner for Business Intelligence & AI/ML
Location: Coppell, TX ( Hybrid: 3 days Onsite & 2 days REMOTE )
Duration: 7 – 8 Months (CONTRACT TO HIRE)
Description:
- The Product Owner for Business Intelligence (BI)/Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) Squad sits within the Cloud Center for Enablement (CC4E) Tribe and is a lead role responsible for delivering products through organizing, prioritizing, and assessing work of the BI/AI/ML squad.
- This person will be tasked with planning and managing sprint goals, prioritization, releases, working with engineering squad members, and communicating status and metrics into the Tribe on behalf of the squad.
- In addition, this role requires the person to build partnerships with adjacent teams that support the tribe (COEs), vendor relationships, and strong partnership with our internal Product Management function.
Skills / Experience Needed:
- Minimum of 3-5 years Product Owner experience.
- Experience with QuickSight, Amazon Q, Looker is a plus
- Self-starter with a solid ability to prioritize, own and drive projects, and quickly learn new concepts and frameworks.
- Demonstrates strong customer service awareness and orientation.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high demand environment.
- Work experience as a Product Owner in agile scrum framework, and Scrum Product Owner Certification. SAFe certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of JIRA tooling to manage backlogs.
- Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle.
- Background on BI, AI, and ML is a plus.
- Technical background with knowledge of software development life cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate the product vision and goal to other Agile Delivery Teams and various Agile Delivery stakeholders.
- Responsible to organize, prioritize, and assess work of the BI/AI/ML Squad. Key activities include incorporating feature requests, grooming, and prioritizing backlog, and developing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Responsible for ensuring products align with the goals of the enterprise by partnering with the Product Manager to understand customer requirements.
- Partner with Product Manager, Business Analyst, and Scrum Master to define feature requests.
- Review and accept development work for completeness against requirements.
- Maximize product value by evaluating implementation alternatives and considering impact of changing scope on budget and estimates.
