Sr. IT Business Analyst (Hybrid in Schaumburg, IL)

Job Summary:

Dexian is seeking a Sr. IT Business Analyst for an opportunity with a client located in Schaumburg, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and goals. Document these needs in detail, including business processes, use cases, and user stories
• Create and maintain detailed project documentation, such as process flow diagrams, system specifications, and user manuals. Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Work with IT teams to design and develop solutions that meet the identified business needs. This may include process design, software development, or policy changes
• Participate in system testing and user acceptance testing to ensure that the implemented solutions meet the specified requirements and are of high quality
• Support project managers by providing business analysis expertise and contributing to project planning and execution
• Guide and mentor junior business analysts, providing technical expertise and support
• Contribute to the development of strategic plans for IT systems and applications

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of business processes, industry trends, and market dynamics
• Ability to analyze complex business problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions
• Knowledge of IT systems, software development methodologies, and relevant tools
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and IT teams

• Ability to lead and mentor junior analysts, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams
• Understanding of project management principles and methodologies
• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and several years of experience in business analysis, particularly in an IT context
• 6 month contract to start, expected to extend and potential for FTE
• Hybrid in Schaumburg, IL with occasional paid for travel to PHI
• Must be ok to travel to Oak Brook, IL
• Must be US Citizen
• Recent experience as a Business Analyst with data integration projects / working with third parties
• Strong understanding of SDLC and previously worked on new/customer application development projects
• Understand API’s and how they communicate with end points
• SQL skills
• Azure DevOps
