SUMMARY:

The Business Applications Analyst is a multi-faceted role focusing on driving the development, use, integration, and advancement of Dexian’s business application framework.?? This role will work with business users from the Dexian’s team and field offices to identify process improvement opportunities and to develop system requirements to support current and future needs.? The role will be hands on in nature conducting workshops, interviewing users, documenting current and future needs, working with current and potential vendors, and working with application development teams to architect system and application structures.?

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Ownership

  • Collaborates and consults with stakeholders, vendors and internal teams to understand and fulfill new requests
  • Support and ownership of the lifecycle of the products?
  • Research new add-on or replacement products?
  • Stays abreast of new product releases and drives upgrades?
  • Maximizes use of existing features within toolsets?
  • Measures and drives user adoption?
  • Conducts data quality reviews and audits where necessary?
  • Provides escalated troubleshooting?
  • Conducts technical and functional system testing and helps build test plans?and coordinates User Acceptance Testing
  • Assists and provides input in developing user and quick reference guides, job aids?and recorded training

Project Management?

 

  • Lead all types of projects from system upgrades, product implementations, custom development, and report creation?
  • Provides project management of various resources including IT, DABA, EDM, Training and Development, business users and external vendors and partners?
  • When another PM is used, support that individual where necessary?

Business Process and Requirements Management?

 

  • Learns and deeply understands the business processes in the various units?
  • Aids in and drives the development of process documentation?
  • Provides business analysis on projects and process reengineering?
  • Creates system and product requirements documentation

System Configuration and Development?

 

  • Perform hands on system configuration of SaaS and internally built applications
  • Develop basic queries, macros, scripts, etc. where necessary?
     

Vendor Management?

 

  • Liaison to product vendors?
  • Coordinates support, training, SOWs, overarching problem management and new releases / new functionality rollouts?
  • Works with sales and technical POCs at vendor?
  • Builds deep vendor relationships with the goal of evolving them into partnerships


QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate should have:

Education & Certifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience required). 
  • Relevant certifications in Project Management, Business Analysis, Software Development, or Database Technologies are highly desirable. 

Professional Experience: 

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in business analysis, software support, or software development. 
  • Experience in Staffing, Recruiting, or Sales is a strong plus. 
  • In-depth understanding of business operations and processes, along with strong knowledge of IT systems and enabling technologies. 
     

Technical & Analytical Skills: 

  • Familiarity with CRM platforms or Applicant Tracking Systems is advantageous. 
  • Experience in drafting key documentation including: 
    • Requirements specifications 
    • Workflow and process diagrams 
    • System design and integration documents 
  • Skilled in conducting user interviews, leading workshops, and gathering functional requirements. 
  • Capable of creating and executing application test plans. 
  • Competence in evaluating software and systems vendors, preparing comparative analyses, and presenting recommendations to leadership. 
     

Implementation & Support: 

  • Hands-on experience with deploying off-the-shelf software products. 
  • Ability to develop comprehensive rollout plans, user training materials, and implementation strategies. 
  • Provide post-implementation support, including bug fixes, troubleshooting, and user assistance.
