Senior Endur/Openlink Developer
Job description
Seeking an experienced Senior Endur Technologist to help evolve and support their trading systems. This role requires hands-on engineering experience in Java along with deep expertise in Endur (Openlink) and a strong understanding of Gas and Power markets. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design, develop, and enhance trading platform functionality using Java and related technologies.
- Partner directly with traders, analysts, and stakeholders to understand system needs and business workflows.
- Continuously seek opportunities to modernize and improve system architecture and performance.
- Build new components while integrating with existing ETRM and commodity trading platforms.
- Ensure timely delivery of new features and system updates in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Support lifecycle management for trade models and ensure seamless handling of physical and financial products.
- Help automate and streamline development, deployment, and monitoring pipelines.
What We’re Looking For:
- 7+ years of Java development experience within enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of the Openlink Endur platform, particularly JVS and Connex frameworks.
- Proficiency with SQL (MS SQL Server preferred).
- Deep understanding of ETRM systems and commodity trading workflows.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, Spring Boot, Dropwizard, and similar service-oriented tools.
- Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS or Azure), ideally hybrid models.
- Comfortable using modern DevOps tools: GitLab, JIRA, Docker, Kibana, Prometheus, Artifactory.
- Prior exposure to North American Natural Gas and Power markets; knowledge of emissions trading and European commodities is a bonus.
- Familiar with trade lifecycle processes, risk modeling, and concepts like storage, transport, and curve modeling including vol setups.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a dynamic trading floor environment.
