Market Data Specialist

Location: Boston, MA
Type: 6 Month Contract-to-hire
Quick Overview:
This is a market data vendor and relationship manager role for the Investment Management (IM) team. The candidate will lead vendor relationships (Bloomberg, FactSet, Refinitiv, etc.), help select the best market data providers, define and manage SLAs/KPIs, and track license spend and performance. They will serve as both a Supplier Engagement Manager (SEM) and a Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) for various vendors. Must understand investment data, be strong in vendor oversight, and able to work across multiple business lines and stakeholders.

Must Haves:

  • 10+ years in investment management or investment services and 5+ years managing investment market data
  • Hands-on with market data platforms/providers:
  • Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FactSet, MSCI, S&P, NYSE, Nasdaq, CME
  • Understanding of real-time and historical market data
  • Strong vendor management / supplier management experience (SEM/SRM)
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis using Excel or spreadsheets
    Nice to Haves:
    • Master Data Management (MDM) certification or training
    • Familiarity with:
      • Data sharing paradigms (Snowflake Share, Databricks Share)
