ServiceNow Developers & Analysts

Job Summary:

Dexian is seeking a ServiceNow Developer & Analyst for an opportunity with a client located in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a comprehensive understanding of the business objectives underlying each development initiative
• Collaborate with the broader team to find acceptable solutions to problems
• Proactively conduct investigations into issues, proposing actionable solutions and enhancements based on findings
• Take responsibility for creating user stories, accurately estimating their scope, and executing the development of assigned stories
• Work closely with business analysts to identify and address any discrepancies or gaps in project requirements
• Identify when requirements may need to be adjusted due to technical limitations
• Acquire a thorough understanding of the business domains relevant to your projects, as well as the specific software solutions and integrations, to ensure proficient diagnosis and resolution of user issues
• Diligently manage and update the status of support tickets to comply with Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards

Requirements:

• 2 CMDB/Discovery Engineering resources
  • CSA Certification – must have
  • 4-6 years of service now platform experience
  • Robust discovery/mature in ServiceNow helps identify individual errors for specific assets
  • Bringing in another tool to help “Discovery Admin” is tool name
• Info about what steps need to be taken to remediate error
• Large backlog of errors
• Working through those errors and reconciling them
• Highly familiar with Discovery Admin tool
• One off(s), need more technical depths to understand

• 2 Operational/ITAM resources to augment CMDB/Discovery Engineering resources (analysts)
  • 3-5 years of service now platform experience
  • Work operational component
  • Discovery of errors
  • Change management and documentation
  • High volume ticket environment and reporting
• Need to understand the CMDB/HAMPro module
• Work operation component on what comes out of the discovery tool – push some of those errors to the actual support group – technical sanity as well and familiar with organizational change management, deal with pattern errors
• They have robust discovery running in Service Now – what they don’t have is if there is an individual error – bringing in another tool that integrates (discovery admin) put error logs into an incident – as they put that tool in they are going to have a large back-fill of errors – highly familiar with discovery and remediation

• 1 HAM Engineer
  • 4-6 years of service now platform experience
  • 1 resource to augment HAM complexities – HAM Pro Developer – one area that they are struggling with – integrations with UPS, FedEx (very nice to have)
  • UPS updated all of their APIs and it has been really hard to integrate – shipping vendors
  • knowing the CMDB process

• • Heavy on the Developer side
    • Need to have experience:
    • CSA Certification – must have
    • Java script
    • ServiceNow development/design
    • Flow designer
    • Business rules
    • Script includes
    • GlideRecord and how to build efficient queries
    • Client scripting vs Server side
    • AJAX

• • Nice to have:
  • • Experience of building ATF tests
    • Understanding of Hardware Asset Management processes such as HAM PRO
    • Understanding of Procurement processes and how they create/update assets
    • HTML / widgets
    • ServiceNow CSDM Knowledge
    • Integrations (PIM work, CDW, Fedex, UPS integrations)
    • Agile Scrum and/or Kanban
    • Knowledge of CMDB process
