Job Title: Accountant

Duration: 4 Months + Possibility of extension

Location: Toledo, OH 43659

Pay Rate: $26.00 – $28.00 hourly

JOB SUMMARY:

Shift: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

Hybrid position (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday onsite)

• Candidate needs to have experience posting journal entries and performing account reconciliation.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting

Interview: Onsite interview

• The Accountant I role supports the businesses in a broad range of Operations Accounting activities.
• The position works directly with the Accounting Leaders and Business Segments, supporting the effective execution of Operations Accounting’s Goals and Objectives through:
• Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close activities
• Perform the ongoing accounting for derivatives and treasury transactions
• Assisting with analyzing financial statements and explaining variances
• Effectively maintaining the control environment
• In addition, the Accountant I role will assist with project work and process improvements.
• In all aspects of the position, the Accountant I will demonstrate clear and effective communication, teamwork, and commitment to the success of Company.

Job Requirements

Experience:

• 2-3 years of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting

Knowledge and Abilities:

• Broad financial and business acumen
• Strong accounting and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and implement process improvements
• Experience with SAP, BPC, BI or similar systems required

• Strong communication skills – both interpersonal and written
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from leader to accomplish objectives
• Organized, deliberate, and reliable in structuring work and effective problem solver.
