Job Title: Accountant II
Duration: 3 Months of Contract
Pay Rate: $30 – $33.66 Hourly on W2
Location: Irving, TX 75039
Shift: Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an Accountant II with experience in General Ledger (GL) accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US GAAP, prepare and post journal entries, maintain accurate financial records, and support the Corporate Financial Reporting team.
The candidate will also assist with financial reporting, dashboards, cost accounting, and work with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, MEDITECH, or other ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post General Ledger (GL) journal entries.
- Perform month-end close activities.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Review journal entries and supporting documentation for accuracy.
- Support financial reporting and management dashboards.
- Assist with costing, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Work with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, MEDITECH, or similar ERP systems.
- Support data mapping and financial system maintenance.
- Collaborate with Corporate Finance and Accounting teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent (proof of education required).
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- Experience with:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Month-end close
- Journal entries
- Financial reporting
- Account reconciliations
- Strong MS Excel skills.
