Position Overview:
We are seeking a Business Banker to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service while handling new consumer and complex business account transactions. The ideal candidate will be skilled in various banking operations, actively promoting our products and services, and maintaining excellent client relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Open and manage both consumer and complex business accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and Trust & Estate Accounts. Ensure all account transactions are processed accurately.
- Customer Service: Deliver superior customer service, engage in effective problem-solving, and maintain a friendly, professional demeanor at all times. Address customer inquiries and provide support that exceeds expectations.
- Sales & Business Development: Proactively cross-sell bank products and services, ensuring they meet customer needs. Identify sales opportunities and generate new business to achieve bank and branch profitability goals.
- Compliance & Documentation: Adhere to all banking regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and other state and federal laws. Ensure all client documentation is complete and uploaded correctly in the core system.
- Team Support & Supervision: Support business clients with essential Treasury Services such as RDC (Check Scanner), Armored, and Courier Service. Provide supervisory oversight for large transactions and assist the Branch Manager with various duties as needed.
- Community Engagement: Commit to a minimum of 10 hours of CRA volunteer work annually, with compensable time and mileage reimbursement.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of three years in banking teller roles with advanced experience in managing consumer and complex business accounts.
- Leadership: Prior supervisory experience preferred with strong capabilities in customer relations and employee management.
- Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and banking software. Strong knowledge of banking regulations and excellent judgment in handling confidential information.
Education: Relevant degree in finance, business administration, or related field is advantageous.
