Job Summary:
Dexian is seeking a Claims Customer Contact Representative for an opportunity with a client located in Des Moines, IA.
Responsibilities:
- Handling incoming phone calls from agents and beneficiaries regarding death and living benefit claims, reviewing and navigating image systems to check claim statuses, and completing intake notifications to initiate claims
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills to independently prioritize and manage workloads
- The role also emphasizes process improvement by monitoring and assessing operations to identify inefficiencies
- A basic understanding of data concepts is required, and the individual will actively contribute to team deliverables and provide regular status updates
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, though some employers may prefer a college degree or certification in insurance or related fields
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with different people and handle sensitive and complex situations
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate and verify the claims and find the best solutions
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling and processing large amounts of data and documents
- Organizational and time-management skills are essential for prioritizing tasks within deadlines and following up
- Computer and technical skills are necessary for using various software and tools to access and update the system as well as communicate with claimants
