About this Role
- We are seeking a motivated and experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to lead our cloud platform team to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work with cutting-edge technologies to develop and manage cloud-based platforms, enabling seamless application deployment and delivery.
- As a team lead, you will work closely with engineering directors and teams to maintain a backlog of initiatives and communicate expectations, status, and issues with stakeholders.
- The engineers at this company take pride in our products and their work. You will regularly contribute to architecture and design decisions and will have full autonomy when it comes to how you believe a feature will be best implemented. We are not interested in the micromanaging of work, but efficiency, performance, and deliverability are a mainstay of our engineering philosophy.
- This is an in-office role based in our Miami headquarters. We’re looking for someone excited to contribute in person, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and help strengthen the on-site engineering culture as we continue to grow.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our software engineering teams to maintain and extend company standards.
- Improve developer efficiency and the developer experience
- Extend GitOps (infrastructure-as-code) to define service implementation across multiple platforms and support desktop development configuration.
- Design and build tools to automate uptime monitoring and support failover situations.
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Implement tools to support monitoring OpenTelemetry output.
- Design and build tools to support CI/CD and automated testing progress.
- Support data delivery pipelines to Databricks data lake.

Requirements
- 6+ years as a professional software engineer.
- 3+ years working in AWS with DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering.
- Proven experience in a security engineering role, ideally in a high-growth or startup environment.
- Strong understanding of application, network, and cloud security.
- Experience designing secure systems, including monitoring and alerting.
- Familiarity with CI/CD environments and event-driven architecture.
- Excellent debugging and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently when scope is defined.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to work from our Miami, FL office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in iGaming, fintech, payments, or crypto.
- Experience mentoring or guiding others in security best practices.
- Contributions to open-source or community-driven security initiatives.
- Experience with penetration testing or vulnerability scanning.
- Familiarity with DDD and performance monitoring tools.
