Job Title: Principal Solutions Architect
Location: Coppell, TX [OR] Jersey City, NJ [OR] Tampa, FL ( Choose Any 1 )
Hybrid: 3 days Onsite & 2 days REMOTE
Duration: 10 Months (CONTRACT TO HIRE)
Skills & Experience Needed:
- Experience and Skills in cross-functional engineering
o Hardware / Hypervisor / OS / Application Stack / Network / Identity & Access mgt / Replication / Multisite Replication
o Cloud / EC2, OpenShift, EKS / Application Stack / Virtual-SDN Networking / Identity Federation / Regionalized access and Disaster Recovery
- 10+ Years of experience in cross functional engineering and/or Platform Architecture
- AWS Landing Zone design, and automated application & infrastructure deployments into that landing zone
- Strong Network integration and related security skills, including: VPN, Extra-Net, Firewall, DNS/LTM/GTM, API Gateways, Application Messaging, PINGaccess/PINGfederation, Secrets/Store Vault
- Experience deploying event driven architecture using Kafka platform – especially application onboarding/automation, and resiliency design
- Solid understanding of API management and related tools such as Apigee
- Data warehousing, data transport, analytics and reporting utilizing SnowFlake Platform and its services
- Solid understanding and experience in Database Services delivery & availability (Oracle, SQL & AWS Aurora)
- Experience in creating solution/platform/application architecture patterns and standards. Ability to deliver the information in concise and clear form, and good Visio diagramming skills.
- Identify and manage anticipated resistance to upcoming technology changes
- Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance concepts
- Ability to visualize and express complex end to end solutions in technical diagrams
- Experience in multi-cloud deployments and intercloud services integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Translate complex and sometimes ambiguous business and technical requirements into sound technical solutions by coordinating with Financial Services teams, Application Development teams, and Data Architecture teams
- Create High Level designs for presentation, review, and approval by stakeholders – including Business, Security, Regulatory, and Infrastructure teams
- Create Detailed Technical Designs for use by Engineering teams in build/deployment; and as post implementation artifacts for ongoing support
- Create Reusable Design Patterns to streamline the process from initial engagement to technical design delivery – ensuring systems continuity and standards adherence
- Develop and follow comprehensive Disaster Recovery strategies, High Availability/Resiliency designs and related solutions to meet internal or regulatory requirements: including systems replication, data replication, and transaction resiliency across multiple locations.
