Job Title: Data Focused Network / Systems Engineer
Location: Greenwood Village, CO 80111 (onsite position)
Duration: 6-month contract to hire
Pay: $45 – $53/hour W2

JOB OVERVIEW
This is a newly created position designed to address growing operational demands within our wireless network services. As our company expands into high-visibility client accounts and mission-critical wireless infrastructure, we are seeking a System Engineer with a unique hybrid skill set in SQL data analysis and wireless networking operations.
The ideal candidate will bridge gaps between data-driven insight and real-time network performance, playing a key role in triaging service impacts, applying system improvements, and contributing to a stable, scalable wireless platform.
Role Description:
- Identify and resolve wireless system deficiencies and triage wireless service impacts
- Determine root causes and implement remediation
- Apply software/firmware patches as needed and follow change control processes
- Contribute to wireless infrastructure improvements across APs, gateways, and controllers
- Present technical and operational data clearly to internal stakeholders using tools like Excel or Tableau
Required Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- Strong data analysis expertise with robust experience in Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Keywords: Postgres, MySQL, Oracle DB, Microsoft SQL Server
- Solid experience using Microsoft Excel
- Keywords: VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, IF, PivotTables, Data Charts/Visualization
- Strong understanding of wireless networking principles
- OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), DHCP, DNS
- IEEE 802.11 standards, switching, bridging, Ethernet
Certifications (Any of the following preferred):
- Certified PostgreSQL DBA (CPSDBA)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
- MySQL 8.0 Database Administrator
- Oracle Database Admin I & II
- CCNA/CCNP with experience
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field – or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years in wireless network operations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Python, Shell, BASH, Ansible, YAML/XML
- Prior experience automating operational tasks
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting wireless infrastructure in live environments
- Tools: Splunk, Netscout (nG1, nBA, nSA, Pulse), Cisco Matrix, Wireshark
- Vendor knowledge: Ruckus/CommScope, Cisco Wireless Controllers and APs
- Experience presenting data findings through visual tools like Tableau
