Data Governance Analyst with Data Lineage
Job description
Job Summary:
Dexian is seeking a Data Governance Analyst with Data Lineage for an opportunity with a client located in Richmond, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the collection and organization of data assets
- Support the formation and execution of a data governance framework
- Work with data owners and stakeholders to implement and maintain data governance policies
- Monitor and report on compliance to data standards and procedures
- Collaborate in the capture and organization of knowledge assets
- Collect business requirements for data governance activities
- Recommend improvements to data quality through systems and platforms
- Manage quality assurance initiatives to enhance data reliability
- Develop and maintain data quality rules and business glossary entries
- Identify and address data issues in existing processes and systems
- Support stakeholder engagement and provide data quality dashboards
- Contribute to data-related projects across the enterprise
Requirements:
- Data Analysis for controls and data quality
- Financial services knowledge particularly regarding regulatory and governance roles
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data and analysis
- Poor performance in prior Bank of America positions
- Tech or Data role Detail oriented with the ability to handle a variety of task
- works in a self-directed manner and takes a proactive approach to job responsibilities Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work, manage complexity and deliver solutions on deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience in performing data analysis tasks
- Demonstrated passion for intellectual curiosity and accuracy as well as the ability to research issues and identify root cause and pattern
- Collaboration and teamwork skills required
- Spreadsheet skills, MS Access, MS Excel, Visual Basic for MS PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Experience with EDM and/or GRM Policy and Standards
- Ability to learn quickly, work autonomously with minimal direction, proactively identify tasks
- Curious learner that is comfortable asking questions if they do not understand a subject
- Embraces new ideas and quick responses to changing situations
- Prefer degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or related field but not required
