Data Privacy Analyst
Job description
As a Data Privacy Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing and understanding current and emerging privacy practices to provide guidance and strategies to manager and optimize the organization’s information and data assets.
This role requires a deep understanding of data protection and privacy practices, confidential information, data governance, information security, data and record management, and legal and regulatory compliance.
The Data Privacy Analyst will collaborate with various departments to ensure the efficient and secure use of the data across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the EDMO and security team to implement and monitor data security measures.
- Identify and mitigate information risks related to data handling and storage in the context of data privacy and protection.
- Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations governing information, including data privacy and AI compliance requirements.
- Work with stakeholders (IT, Compliance, etc.) to ensure the organization’s compliance with data protection, privacy, and AI laws, through monitoring of regulatory requirements, implementation of best practices, technology solutions.
- Collaborate with business units to understand their information needs and challenges.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication to promote a unified approach to information management.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance data privacy and protection capabilities.
- Generate and analyze reports to measure effectiveness of information management initiatives.
- Work closely with the AI team in the AI Forum to provide data privacy and protection subject matter expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technology related field, information management, computer science, etc.
- IAPP certification
- Proven experience in data privacy, information management, data governance, AI and security.
- Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent project management and organization skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- JD or legal degree equivalent.
- Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools.
- Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in information management, data privacy and AI.
