Job Title: Print Specialist
Duration: 06/23/2025 – 12/22/2026
Location: Addison Texas 75001 United States
Pay Range: $23 – 24/ hourly on W2
Responsibilities
- Pre-flights incoming art files. Edits and adjusts art as necessary for best workflow throughout to best end result. Produces press sheet layouts and imposed jobs to most efficient print output. Sends imposed print ready files to printers and occasionally print proofs and/or prints complete job. Oversees and maintains prepress workflow quality check points. Works with department team to maintain a steady, efficient production volume and also maximize production capabilities and quality. Inputs data to all appropriate department logs. Maintains communication with customers in person and on the phone.
- Maintains all prepress software and hardware and logs all software, firmware and hardware maintenance and updates. Manages color on all print software and hardware applications and devices. Maintains good tracking, filing and archiving procedures to easily access data and electronic files. Troubleshoots art, print files and department software and hardware as necessary. Maintains and organizes back-up file folders and drives. Maintains clean and organized local and department work areas at all times.
- Maintains prepress inventory including wide format inks and materials. Collaborates between Creative Services, ISTdepartments and PRINT to answer questions and resolve issues demonstrating a high level of patience, professionalism, and a sense of urgency during these exchanges. Helps maintain and organize internal department server share drive.
- Trains back-up personnel. Stays abreast of industry standards and new solutions related to prepress functionality in prepress and digital print workflow environments to provide input for improvements to PRINT management
- Reports to SWB Print/Mail when necessary to perform same or similar job tasks. Backup for lead personnel as needed.
- In addition to the above, incumbent is expected to meet the required competencies for this position as defined in the competency profile.
Skills & Experience
Experience: 5+ years
Supervisory Experience:
Field of Experience: 5 years digital prepress and/or commercial print prepress experience.

Additional Skills & Abilities
- Highly proficient in related prepress software and hardware including Equios, Adobe CC, Pitstop, Acrobat, InDesign, RIP Software, X-Rite Color Management Software, MS Office and Imposition Software.
- CMS knowledge and/or strong color management knowledge with ICC color profiling knowledge in digital and/or offset printing environments.
- High attention to detail with heavy emphasis on quality.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking capabilities and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to operate under pressure of tight deadlines and rapid changing priorities.
- Prepress project scheduling and tracking skills a plus.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude during heavy interaction with department team members and management discussing schedules, quality control, deadlines and other related topics.
- Requires ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs. Must be able to climb, stoop, crouch, kneel, push, pull, and reach in order to work in a prepress and print environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to communicate with a wide variety of individuals possessing differing levels of technical knowledge.
- Must demonstrate a sense of urgency in the performance of the work without sacrificing the quality set by the standards
- Must possess the ability to see and read clearly at all times.
- Job requires approximately 70% sitting, 20% standing, and 10% stooping/lifting/walking in order to operate and maintain all prepress and digital printing equipment.

Working Conditions
- This job requires exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, gases, odors, poor ventilation, oils, noise, loud machinery, and vibrations.
- This job may require exposure to substances designated as hazardous waste by the Environmental Protection Agency.
- Incumbent is subject to other hazards such as exposure to moving mechanical parts and chemicals.
- Job occasionally requires scheduled and/or unscheduled overtime at night and on weekends and overlapping shift hours.
