Financial Data Analyst with Investment Banking
Job description
Job Summary:
Dexian is seeking a Financial Data Analyst with Investment Banking for an opportunity with a client located in Charlotte, NC.
Responsibilities:
- Support Profit monthly production with analysis, execution of controls and communications to ensure timely and accurate data delivery
- Demonstrate proficiency of Profit methodologies, logic, data lineage and understand strategic uses of customer profitability data
- Field user questions regarding differences between Profit and General Ledger data
- Present to business partners including senior management to improve overall understanding of Profit data and the benefits it provides
- Partner with Line of Business Finance, Operations, Marketing and Tech Teams – to understand and/or identify opportunities for integrating Profit data into internal management routines
- Participate in developing requirements, supporting design and execute testing for Profit changes
Requirements:
- Strong finance acumen with understanding of banking products and financial statements
- Strong research & analytic skills using querying tools and Excel
- Ability to translate data into information and create the story for end users
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks/responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to build strong working relationships to effectively navigate across the ECP organization and with various business partners
- Accounting, Finance or Business degree, preferred
- 5 years of finance support experience in the banking/financial services industry
- Experience working with cross functional technology, LOB and finance teams
- SQL knowledge, a plus
- Familiarity with Bank of Americas financial reporting tools (i.e., eLedger), a plus
- Usage and familiarity with Enterprise Customer Profitability (Profit) data, a plus
