Laboratory Technician

Night Shift; 11PM to 7AM

JOB DETAILS:

Performs laboratory technical tasks. Responsible for the care and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Will be required to offer assistance in the operation of the equipment and the gathering of data. Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials, ordering and stocking. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor.

Requirements:
* High School diploma.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* High attention to detail and an ability to follow written procedures.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Job Description:
* The lab operates 24×7, running three shifts. Analysts need to be available to work any shift. Shift assignments are non-rotating but may change due to production support needs. 6:00am-2:30pm (5×8 hours, 2 days off), 10:00am-8:30pm (4×10 hours, 3 days off), 8:00pm-6:30am (4×10 hours, 3 days off).
* Several different analytical techniques, types of instrumentation, and software are utilized.
* Observes good safety. (Work in a safe manner)
* Perform general housekeeping (organizing and cleaning)
* Follow instructions on developed methods (prep and analysis solution)
* Perform analysis on in-process, and finished products.
* Promptly and accurately evaluate, record, and report all analytical results.
* General labor in a chemical environment.
* Required to wear supplied PPE. (Personal Protective Equipment)
* Maintains appropriate records to meet internal requirements (Lab Notebook or folder for record keeping.)
* Assist with troubleshooting minor instrumentation malfunctions.
