Job Title: LabVIEW Developer

Location: Arden Hills (On-site, 5 days a week)
Duration: Initial 6-month contract with potential for full-time employment
Pay Range : $100/HR – $150/HR on W2 Without benefits.

Pay Range will Vary on Experience.

Project Details:

  • Join Electrical Process Development group and help ensure quality Medical Device development through development and testing in LabVIEW.
  • The Senior Engineer will immediately be asked to write automated tests in LabVIEW.
  • The project this will support is a next-generation imaging catheter.
  • Current state, physicians have to view the catheter image and diagnose the patient.
  • Ideally, this product will have an AI/ML feature that allows AI to review the imaging and produce a diagnosis to save time.

Overview:

  • We are looking for an experienced LabVIEW Developer to join a leading team focused on the biggest endoscopy project.
  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of LabVIEW, circuit testing, machine vision, and automated testing processes.
  • You will work on developing and enhancing automated tests for scope and camera configurations, ensuring high-quality results for end-of-line testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop automated tests for integrated circuit (IC) and endoscopy scope/catheter testing.
  • Write and enhance LabVIEW software to support different types of scope, light configurations, and camera testing.
  • Troubleshoot and develop algorithms for determining good vs. bad pictures in automated camera testing.
  • Work on integrating vision systems (Cognex, Keyence) to evaluate camera quality and image clarity.
  • Identify requirements, design test software, and develop on top of the existing base code for specific tests.
  • Own tasks from start to finish with proactive problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team and provide feedback when necessary to ensure proper functionality and efficiency.
  • Test and evaluate results for repeatability and reproducibility (R&R).

Qualifications:

  • LabVIEW Experience: 5-10 years of hands-on development experience in LabVIEW, with a strong background in designing and developing automated test solutions.
  • Vision Systems Expertise: Experience working with machine vision technologies, specifically with Cognex and Keyence systems.
  • Testing Knowledge: Familiarity with integrated circuit tests, endoscopy scopes, and catheter testing.
  • Software Development: Proficient in writing code from scratch based on requirements, as well as enhancing and developing over existing codebases.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify tasks, plan solutions, and deliver results independently.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to push back when necessary and collaborate effectively with the design team.
  • Education: A degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Python is beneficial, but not sufficient on its own for this role.
  • Experience with PLC/ladder logic is a plus.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage projects effectively.
