The Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving business decisions through the analysis of data, business processes, and customer insights. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, IT, finance, and marketing, to provide actionable insights and recommendations that enhance Client’s business performance. The Senior Business Analyst will use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support strategic initiatives and contribute to the ongoing improvement of business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Lead efforts in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting business data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement across various departments.
- Business Process Optimization: Evaluate existing business processes and workflows, recommending improvements based on data-driven insights to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strategic Support: Partner with senior leadership to develop data-supported strategies, supporting the decision-making process with clear, actionable recommendations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (finance, marketing, supply chain, IT) to understand business needs and deliver analytical solutions.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Assist in developing financial forecasts and budgets, providing insights on market trends and sales performance.
- Project Management: Lead and manage complex business analysis projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
- Technology and Tools: Utilize advanced business intelligence tools, databases, and statistical methods to analyze large datasets and deliver business insights.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain clear, comprehensive reports and dashboards for leadership, ensuring key findings and recommendations are well-documented and easily understood.
- Mentoring and Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, helping to develop their technical and business skills.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of business analysis experience, preferably in retail, supply chain, or related industries.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations. Expertise in using data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL).
- Business Acumen: In-depth understanding of business operations, financial analysis, and performance metrics.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik), SQL, Excel (advanced functions, macros), and ERP systems (preferably SAP, Oracle).
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to tackle business challenges creatively and effectively.
- Teamwork: Collaborative approach with a focus on building strong working relationships across various departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in retail, e-commerce, or home improvement industries is a plus.
- Advanced Analytical Tools: Proficiency with advanced analytics platforms such as SAS, R, or Python for predictive modeling and data analysis.
- Leadership Experience: Experience mentoring or leading teams of junior analysts.
