Title: Molecular Biologist/DNA Cloning/ Biologist

Location: St. Louis MO 63146

Duration: 06 Months (Possible Extension)

Pay rate: $30 – $32.86/Hr

Job Description:

• Studies the basic principles of plant biology with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within molecular biology. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
• Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
• Responsible for delivering on molecular processes in an ISO9001 environment to drive our crop science pipeline.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Molecular biology is the basis of our plant pipeline while simultaneously exploring and implementing new research technologies and techniques to drive scientific discoveries.
• As such, we are hiring a consultant that has experience in developing and producing products to drive our processes.
• Experience in DNA cloning would be beneficial.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Laboratory support and compliance with ISO9001 and Safety standard requirements with respect to training, documentation lab and automation operations, and delivery of products to downstream partners.
• Provide on the floor support as a scientist in plant biology.
• Deliver at a production scale to downstream partners and be able to batch and document deliverables within data systems and provide deviation resolution support.
• Works methodically and with attention to details.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Degree. Specific experience with molecular biology techniques, learning new data systems and following best practices documentations.

PREFERENCES:

Experience with molecular biology techniques. 1-3 Years of Experience
