Oracle Database Developer (Hybrid in CHI)

Job Summary:

Dexian is seeking a Oracle Database Developer for an opportunity with a client located in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Create logical data models and translate them into physical database schema designs, including defining tables, columns, relationships, and constraints
• Write complex SQL queries to retrieve, insert, update, and delete data efficiently
• Develop stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers using Oracle’s PL/SQL language to implement business logic within the database
• Analyze database queries and identify performance bottlenecks, optimizing database structures and indexes to improve query execution speed
• Implement database security measures to control access to sensitive data and maintain data integrity
• May perform some database administration tasks like managing database backups, space allocation, and user management
• Work closely with application developers to understand application requirements and integrate database solutions
• Write test cases to validate database functionality and troubleshoot any issues that arise

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Proven experience in Oracle database development, including design, coding, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with other Oracle tools like Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle APEX, and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• Recent experience as an Oracle Database Developer
• NoSQL (Cosmos DB)
• PL/SQL
• Cloud (Azure preferred)
• Must be US Citizen who can work 40 hours per week
