Position overview:
Parts Business Operations is a core profitability, customer satisfaction and dealer efficiency driver for Cars North America and its network of authorized dealer franchise partners. Key responsibilities include supply chain management, genuine parts sales, dealer partner support and communication management for the parts business in the US market. This center of competency facilitates the flow of genuine parts to authorized dealers, who sell to retail customers, independent repair facilities, and collision repair facilities.
Cars North America Parts Operations seeks a contractor to help manage a rapidly growing parts operation that serves a growing fleet of vehicles operating on US roadways. This person must be self-motivated, capable of operating independently, and willing to be flexible in the handling of priority parts projects that may change on a daily basis. As a support function to a team of existing Parts Support Specialists, this person will support dealers on parts order specifying and supply chain related topics. Additionally, this role will be responsible for special projects, and administrative tasks necessary to keep the supply chain running to dealers. This includes but is not limited to the following; management of dealers’ parts transactions, ETA’s has and order management.
Roles & responsibilities
Primary responsibilities:
* Own the dealer support process for your area of responsibility – manage to dealer inquiries and tickets in a timely manner, providing a high level of service to Dealer partners. Topics include but are not limited to: Parts availability, parts shipment ETAs, parts ordering, collaboration with parts warehouse colleagues, priority order management (VOR), damage claims, process guidance etc.
* Process parts trades between dealers, properly exchanging parts and performing financial reconciliation.
* Manage dealer support tickets to a high level of service, reasonable time to close with resolution to dealer partner, supporting customer satisfaction.
o Managing escalation with clear and timely communication with the appropriate parties at, AG etc. as needed to resolve.
* Administer inbound parts supply and ensure proper allocation to dealers, for campaigns and recalls requiring parts
* Manage special parts returns (parts withdrawals) from dealers and warehouses to ensure that all affected parts ship as directed within the process and timeline for each campaign.
* Manage to relevant KPI’s specific to parts operations and parts operations support responsibilities, ensuring high level of service and accountability.
* Perform special projects as needed. Reporting and ad hoc analysis as needed.
* Flexible to market needs with a high degree of curiosity, always looking to improve process, workflow, which lead to a high level of service to our franchise dealer partners.
Qualifications
Education:
* College degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain, and Data Analytics, or the equivalent education and experience
Experience:
* Looking for recent college grad w/ professional and analytical skills to work in an office environment.
Skills:
* Customer focus and ability to advocate for dealers in the resolution of issues
* Software proficiency – Excel required, SAP and or BW a plus
* Continuous improvement mindset
* Initiative – ability to demonstrate competency managing project or program from ideation to introduction and operation
* An entrepreneurial spirit that creatively solves problems and delivers solutions
* Ability to work cross-functionally, effectively relaying information to various stakeholders, especially field employees and dealers
* Excellent oral and written communications skills
