Production Manager

• We’re hiring a hands-on Production Manager for a unique, small-scale manufacturing environment. This is a direct hire opportunity with a company looking for someone ready to grow beyond the role into larger leadership responsibilities. The position combines production floor oversight (4 direct reports) with critical supply chain duties-most notably, serving as the primary Buyer/Planner.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise production floor operations, including assemblers and a shipping/receiving clerk.
  • Manage all buying and planning functions, including procurement, inventory control, supplier negotiation, and compliance with import/export regulations.
  • Support safety, quality assurance (ISO, OSHA, ATEX), and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and operations to ensure on-time, high-quality deliveries.
  • Maintain and optimize ERP systems (SAGE 100 preferred).
  • Act as liaison for facility and maintenance-related vendors.

  What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong background in production leadership and procurement planning.
  • Experience in smaller, multi-functional environments (not massive manufacturing floors).
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, prioritize, and grow into expanded roles.
  • ERP and quality systems knowledge (ISO, lean, compliance requirements).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (6+ years) in production and supply chain.
