Job title: Research Policy & Data Analyst

Duration: 2-3 Months Contract + Possibility of Extension/FTE

Location: Natick, MA 01760

Pay rate: $30.00 – $32.15 Hourly

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Research Data Analyst to help with conducting and coordinating data-related projects, and related research for the Agency. The primary focus of this position is data audit and tracking, data analysis, and extraction and validation of data on business processes from Agency’s database.

As such, the individual will be provided with information to gain familiarity with policies and procedures pertaining to different business processes across units to ensure data is entered and tracked by staff consistent with existing policies and procedures.

DETAILED STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Helps with preparing bi-weekly and monthly reports for management for performance measurement, and communicates any data issues, where applicable.
  2. Familiarizes themselves with Parole policies and business procedures across units to ensure data is entered and tracked by staff consistent with existing policies and procedures.
  3. Helps with extraction and validation of data from Parole’s database.
  4. Audits and tracks data captured by active reports and extracts from Agency database.
  5. Analyzes data to measure performance across different business processes to help towards improving policies and procedures.
  6. Assists with both internal and external data requests, including public records request, media requests, requests from legislators, and external and internal research requests when needed.

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must have at least

(A) two years of full time, or equivalent part- time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in data analysis with excellent excel skills; experience with any other data analytic tools such as Tableau is a plus

(B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitution below.

Substitution:

A Bachelor’s or higher degree with a major in Social Science or STEM fields including data science, may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the-required experience.
