Job Title: SAS Fraud Management Engineer
Location: Remote (Preferred: Local candidates) – Chicago IL
Job Type: 9-Month Contract
Work Hours: 10 AM CST – 7 PM CST (Due to deployment schedule)
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Job Description:

We are seeking a SAS Fraud Management Engineer with strong expertise in SAS Fraud Management software and strategy implementation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in rule strategy changes, governance checks, and fraud detection mechanisms, ensuring the system is optimized to prevent fraudulent activities. This is not a pure data analytics role-we need someone with direct experience in fraud strategy implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage SAS Fraud Management software to detect and mitigate fraudulent activities.
  • Perform rule strategy changes and governance checks to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Develop, modify, and optimize SQL queries and work with Snowflake for data processing.
  • Utilize Python for scripting and automation of fraud detection tasks.
  • Work closely with deployment teams, ensuring smooth implementation of fraud strategies.
  • Develop dashboards and visual reports using Tableau (nice to have).
  • Utilize Unix/Shell scripting for automation and system tasks (nice to have).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance fraud detection methodologies.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in SAS Fraud Management software and strategy implementation.
  • SQL and Snowflake expertise for fraud data management.
  • Proficiency in Python for fraud analytics and automation.
  • Experience in Tableau (nice to have).
  • Knowledge of Unix/Shell scripting (nice to have).
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.
  • Ability to work 10 AM CST – 7 PM CST due to deployment schedules.
  • Preference for local candidates, but remote work is acceptable.
