Overview:

Day-to-day:

  • Writing and testing scripts that test applications within environment using login enterprise.
  • Writing scripts that run apps from a perspective of an end user within scripting language, all written within C#.
  • Have some scripts already developed that candidate can look at but also looking to expand app suite to include Visual Studio, Custom Apps, etc.
  • Basically writing those scripts, running tests on those scripts.

Must Haves:

  • Python

Job Description:

Summary:

The ideal candidate has expertise in C# and Python, with a strong background in VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), Windows OS, Software Applications, and hypervisor technologies. The role will involve designing, developing, and implementing software scripts to test certain aspects of the VDI user experience. The role will enable expanding test coverage across core VDI use cases, ensuring proactive performance validation, and enhancing the end-user experience by identifying performance bottlenecks before deployment

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a set of tools and automation using C# and Python
  • Understand each applications use case and develop tests for performance and compatibility with VDI
  • Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data
  • Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications
  • Implement system software and customize to client requirements
  • Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans
  • Code new programs to clients specifications and create test data for testing
  • Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs
  • Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation
  • Provide quality assurance reviews
  • Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
  • Experience with C# and Python
  • Experience with Linux and Windows
  • Experience with Git source control
  • Experience working within an agile framework
  • A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Large systems software design and development experience
  • Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems
  • Experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution
