Duration: 12 Months (High possibility of extension)

Job Description:
Seeking a cloud software engineer (AWS, Go, Python) to work on a Disaster Recovery platform who has a strong understanding and background in distributed systems. Projects are centered mostly on Go and API development that interacts with AWS. Additionally, the engineer will work closely with the core team to modernize and automate release management, deployment processes and strategies covering Dev, Test, Stage, and Production environments and collaborate with team members in the improvement of CI/CD practices. Experience with Scrum, Agile and iterative approaches is a plus. Excellent communication skills: demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. Team player, possessing strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of Developing, managing, and testing Infrastructure as Code using one of the following CDK, or Terraform. Supporting, monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting services running on cloud with a focus on automated solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years programming experience in Golang.
• 2+ years of experience in Python.
• 6+ years of experience on AWS with focus on services like RDS, DynamoDB, EKS, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config, CloudFormation.
• 2+ years of experience in monitoring and logging leveraging Splunk and Wavefront.
• Knowledge of React is a big bonus! Sound knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience developing software delivery leveraging DevOps, and agile practices/methodologies

Education:

• BS in Computer Science/Software Engineering or a related field.
