Technician, Engineering – Skilled

Description:

Provides technical support to engineers and scientists on a variety of technical tasks.

Develops and recommends procedures and methods and prepares technical reports and documentation.

Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommends corrective action.

Overview

• Looking for someone to come in and help in an additive lab
• Running machines in this lab and help on secondary operations
• MJF was added and a light synthesis machine
• Would like if someone had an additive background, but if not, they would be open to an entry level
• Working with R&D engineering customers and as they get ramped will start to be able to answer questions on the plastics and polymers they will be using and that customers might need for their prototypes
• Day to day
• Clean up support materials
• Review work coming in, making sure they have the process and materials the customers are asking for
• Loading machines for the builds that will happen
• Very customer service oriented
• If someone had interest or experience in 3D printing or additive manufacturing would be who they would like to see

• Customer service skills, this is a customer facing role and a lot of interaction
