Trade Support Specialist – Secondary Documentation Closer
Location: Newark, DE – fully on site
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM
Contract: Initial 1-month contract with extensions and potential for conversion (expected contract duration of 8-12 months before conversion)
About the Opportunity
Dexian is seeking a Trade Support Specialist to join its Loan Trading Documentation team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career professionals looking to build a long-term career within one of the world’s leading financial institutions. The team supports high-profile trading and lending operations and provides valuable exposure to financial markets, loan trading, and trade operations.

What You’ll Do
- Support the settlement and closing of secondary loan trades by partnering with traders, sales teams, clients, legal counsel, and operations teams
- Manage a portfolio of active trades while ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Review and process legal and trade-related documentation, including:
- Trade confirmations
- Assignment agreements
- Participation agreements
- Proceeds letters
- Cash collateral agreements
- Other loan trading documents
- Analyze credit agreements and assignability provisions
- Identify and escalate issues when necessary to traders, management, or legal teams
- Prepare daily and weekly reports to track trade status, outstanding items, and operational risk
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with loan trading or financial services environments
- Knowledge of the trade lifecycle or operations support functions
- Exposure to syndicated loans or lending products
- Experience with LoanIQ, ClearPar, or similar platforms
- Understanding of LSTA documentation and industry standards
- Prior experience supporting trading, operations, or financial products is a plus
