UI/UX Designer (Tampa, FL)
Job description
Position: UI/UX Designer
Location: Onsite preferred in Downtown Tampa (possible 1-day remote per week)
Contract: 6 months CTH or extension
Position Overview
Seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to transform our user interface into a highly interactive, seamless experience. The primary focus is on redesigning our web-based application with 6-8 main modules, which is currently 60% built out. The administrative portions, user management interfaces, and analysis screens require design completion, modernization, and improved user experience.
The ideal candidate is someone with strong UI/UX technical skills, experience working on web-based platforms (ReactJS frontend), and an ability to integrate well within our small, dynamic team. You’ll work closely with frontend developers, technical architects, business teams, and leadership, taking ownership of design decisions and ensuring a cutting-edge, user-friendly product.
Key Responsibilities
- Redesign existing web-based application interface (ReactJS) and complete the remaining 40% of the UI/UX.
- Work closely with the frontend developer and architects to ensure cohesive design implementation.
- Collaborate with marketing and executive teams to align design with business goals.
- Build out new analysis screens and enhance administrative interfaces, ensuring an intuitive user flow.
- Deliver an interactive, highly-functional interface that serves as a one-stop-shop for our clients.
- Conduct user research, create wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups.
- Translate complex data visualizations and workflows into user-friendly interfaces.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends and incorporate them into the design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (experience preferred over education).
- 5+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, particularly with web-based applications.
- Expertise in ReactJS frontend design and proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
- Strong portfolio showcasing modern UI/UX design, particularly for data-heavy applications.
- Ability to work with teams remotely, integrating feedback from various levels of the organization, from architects to executive leadership.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain design rationale to non-technical stakeholders.
