Job Summary:

Dexian is seeking a Data Engineer for an opportunity with a client located in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and organize raw data
• Build data systems and pipelines
• Evaluate business needs and objectives
• Interpret trends and patterns
• Conduct complex data analysis and report on results
• Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
• Build algorithms and prototypes
• Combine raw information from different sources
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
• Identify opportunities for data acquisition
• Develop analytical tools and programs
• Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects

Requirements:

• Cloud experience (ideally Public Cloud Azure, open to others)
• Java or Python development
• Has built large scale and low latency applications in the cloud
• Investment banking, investment services, custody banking, or middle office experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively interface with both business partners and with technical staff
• Attention to detail and the ability to be proactive, prudent and confident in pressure situations are a must
• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Computer Science or related subject, or 10+ year experience in IT
• Expert knowledge of data architectures, data pipelines, real-time data processing, streaming, networking, and security
