IT Financial Systems Analyst

Job description

As a Financial System Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of financial systems within the organization. You will play vital role in analyzing, implementing, and maintaining financial software and applications to support various financial processes. This position requires a combination of financial expertise and technical skills to optimize financial system functionality, streamline processes, and ensure data accuracy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
System Analysis and Implementation:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing financial systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into system specifications.
  • Implement and configure financial software solutions to meet the organization’s needs.

Data Management and Integrity:

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of financial data within the systems.
  • Develop and implement data validation processes to identify and rectify discrepancies.
  • Regularly audit financial data to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.

User Training and Support:

  • Provide training to end-users on the functionality of financial systems and applications.
  • Act as a point of contact for user support, addressing and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Create documentation and user guides for system processes and functionalities.

System Integration:

  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate financial systems with other business applications.
  • Ensure seamless data flow between financial systems and related software.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain customized financial reports based on user requirements.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices related to financial systems.
  • Implement controls and measures to ensure compliance with financial regulations and mitigate risks.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and upgrades to financial systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Financial System Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting processes.
  • Proficiency in financial software, ERP, EPM systems. Oracle EPM strongly preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
