Job Title: IT Service Desk Specialists

Location: 100% remote-Central time zone hours

Duration: 12-month contract to start but always chance to go longer or convert FTE

Pay:

  • $18 – $20/hr day shift W2
  • $20 – $22/hr for the night shift W2

Other Requirements: Must be able to take and pass a Drug Test & Background Check

Number of Positions: 5 roles open

** Available Shifts**

  • 1 role – Monday-Friday 8am – 4:30 pm CST
  • 1 role – Monday-Friday NIGHTTIME SHIFT- 6 pm – 3 am CST
  • 2 roles – Saturday-2am-2pm CST, Sunday 4am-4pm, Monday 8am-4:30pm, Tuesday 8am-4:30pm
  • 1 role – Saturday – 2:30 pm – 2:30 am, Sunday 6 pm – 2 am, Tuesday 7 am – 5 pm, Wednesday 7 am – 5 pm CST

**The first month all shifts will be M-F 8am-4:30pm for training, even for overnight people. All overnight people must be comfortable doing this for first month and then move to overnight after this.

JOB OVERVIEW

  • The Service Desk Specialist is responsible for providing support to IT users via directing the user or utilizing remote control of the customer’s desktop to resolve their IT questions or issues.
  • Resolve incidents and more complex work orders for our IT Users remotely
  • Assist Incident Management and the EOC with notification and resolution during system/application outages
  • Resolve work orders following documented steps and training
  • Reports to a Supervisor or Manager in the Information Technology department
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED is required
  • 1 year of service desk experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
  • Advanced customer service skills
  • Strong written & verbal communications skills
  • Knowledge of commonly used IT concepts, practices and procedures
  • IT Customer Service experience
  • Ticket Tracking system experience
  • Ability to sit 6 or more hours per day
  • Ability to work in close proximity to other team members and in a secured location without natural light
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
