Job Title: Sr. Wifi Tester # 916723
Location: Englewood CO 80112 – on site
Duration: 12+ month long contract
Pay:

  • W2: $60 – $70/hour
  • 1099 / C2C: $65 – $75/hour

Other Requirements:

  • Must come from a Telecom background or a manufacturer for Routers or parts inside of them
  • Must have experience working in a lab environment

The WiFi Tester positions are going to work primarily in our Performance lab on WiFi devices. We are looking for:

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participates in wireless network planning, wireless network architecture design and engineering.
  • Integrates and schematically depicts communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete wireless network configurations.
  • Evaluates new products, performs wireless network problem resolution.
  • Develops and implements approved methods of procedure.
  • Designs, develops and implements wireless network enhancements and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Performing planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for wireless network systems of high complexity.
  • Designs, develops and implements wireless network enhancements and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Responsible for implementation of wireless network architecture and designs.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficient data wireless networking knowledge (OSI Model, TCP/IP, etc.).
  • Proficient knowledge of related wireless industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, 802.11 variants, Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols.
  • Proficient knowledge in wireless network design, wireless network architecture, protocols and wireless network topology.
  • Proficient knowledge of basic wireless network devices and basic wireless network appliances.
  • Proficient knowledge of wireless network designing software, such as Visio and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Required Work and Education Experience

  • 10+ Wireless Network experience.
  • Cisco Certified Wireless Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Wireless industry and vendor specific training (Cisco, Ariss, Ruckus, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.

Skills

  • Lab testing of hardware (CPE preferred)
  • In depth knowledge of the 802.11 protocol (able to speak on differences and features)
  • Experience creating test cases that investigate and validate HW compliance with 802.11 protocols and features

  • Equipment: Ixia, Spirent, Octoscope, Octobox, Keysight, Rhode and Schwarz, WaveApps, WaveQoE
  • Wireshark, Performance Testing, conducted, over-the-air, attenuator, traffic generator
  • Test Case: Requirement gathering, SLA creation, documentation creation
  • Software: Jira, Chalk/Confluence, TestRail, Excel, Python, command line, TCL, Webex
  • Certifications: CWNP, CWS, CWNA, CWT, CWAP, CWNE, CWIxx, CCNA
