Job Title : Billing Clerk

Location : Remote

Pay range : $20 – $22

Duration : 12+ MONTHS

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Clerk/Associate to support billing and accounts receivable operations. This role will process billing transactions, research payment discrepancies, clear suspense accounts, and communicate with clients, brokers, and internal teams through a shared email inbox.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, premium payments, adjustments, reversals, and account transactions.
  • Research and resolve billing and payment-related issues.
  • Perform account reconciliations and clear suspense items.
  • Respond to client and broker inquiries through email.
  • Review billing information for accuracy and maintain proper documentation.
  • Assist with monthly billing and special projects.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of billing, accounting, accounts receivable, or financial operations experience.
  • Basic understanding of debits, credits, and account reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, research, and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Employee Benefits or insurance billing experience is preferred.
