Business Analyst / Project Manager with PlanView Experience

Job description

We’re seeking a Planview Systems Analyst / PMO Operations Lead who blends business acumen, project management skills, and technical systems expertise to support and optimize our enterprise Planview environment. This role is ideal for someone who can confidently gather and translate business requirements from leadership and proactively execute within Planview or similar PPM tools. You will not just click the buttons-you’ll define which buttons need to be clicked, why, and what value it drives for the business.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Serve as the go-to resource for Planview system administration-configuring workflows, maintaining system integrity, and driving user adoption.
  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to gather, interpret, and execute on business requirements inside Planview.
  • Act as a bridge between business and IT, translating strategic goals into actionable system configurations.
  • Implement new processes in Planview or migrate existing ones into a centralized, governed platform.
  • Train and support users on Planview functionality; create documentation, guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Proactively identify system inefficiencies and lead enhancements to improve usability and business value.
  • Conduct regular system audits, maintain data integrity, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Stay up to date with Planview capabilities and industry best practices to optimize tool functionality.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in a role blending Business Analysis, Project Management, and System Administration.
  • Demonstrated experience administering Planview or similar PPM tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Monday.com, Workday).
  • Proven ability to work independently-can own the process end-to-end without needing step-by-step direction.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills-comfortable working with senior leadership.
  • Experience conducting system audits, building reports, and driving process improvement.

Preferred Experience:

  • Direct experience administering Planview Advisor, Portfolio, or AgilePlace modules.
  • Experience developing and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Familiarity with PowerBI or other dashboard/reporting tools.
  • Experience in training development and delivery across diverse user groups.
