Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Columbus, OH

Pay range: $19 – $21.27 /hr.

Duration: 6+ months (possibility of extension & conversion to full-time employment)
Shifts: MON – FRI – AM 8am – 5pm

Job Summary:

The Life Sciences Research team provides fast, accurate answers for discovery, safety and efficacy with our world-class facilities and ability to meet unique technical, development and regulatory needs for our clients. We are currently seeking a Formulation and Lab Support Technician. This position is 100% onsite located at laboratories in Columbus, OH & West Jefferson, OH.

Responsibilities:

• Activities may include some or all the following:
• Provide support to ensure that the facilities are properly maintained in accordance with GLP, ISO, and other required regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, laboratory housekeeping, receiving, and putting away supplies, cleaning glassware, and inventory of assigned items.
• Preparation and handling of formulations in a variety of vehicles.
• Shipping and receiving of supplies.
• Preparation of chemistry samples for analysis utilizing a variety of wet chemical techniques in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety policies.
• Work on assignments that are routine in nature under supervision and guidance of more experienced staff.
• Ensure proper documentation of all work following GLP guidelines.
• Work with hazardous materials and chemicals under chemical hygiene and laboratory safety requirements.

Key Qualifications:

• Associate degree in scientific field; 1 year of applicable experience; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
• Exhibits sufficient technical knowledge to perform routine assignments following standard operating procedures.
• Ability to successfully pass medical screen, including the ability to wear a respirator and other PPE, lift up to 50 lbs. and work in the proximity of hazardous chemicals.
• Experience with MS Office programs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a laboratory environment.
• Experience working with volumetric glassware, analytical balances, and positive displacement pipets.
• Demonstrated ability to exhibit technical knowledge and troubleshoot effectively.
• Experience following GLP documentation practices.

Additional Information:
