Job Title: GIS Technician
Job Duration: 3 Years contract
Location: Birmingham AL 35203
Job Description:
- Input, processing, and maintenance of Power Distribution Lines and Equipment assets in an ESRI GIS database.
Qualification requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree (Geography, GIS, or similar field)
- GIS Certificate, or at least 2 years of full time GIS work experience is required
- Power Distribution knowledge is a plus
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software required; experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro software is a plus.
- Competency with standard computer software, to include MS Office suite is required.
- Capable of working in a team environment is required
- Experience with CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) is a plus
- Flexible to work 40 hours per week, M-F, in an office environment in Birmingham, Alabama.
- Shifts may be 8 or 10 hours per day, starting as early as 7am and ending as late as 5pm.
