Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
* Developing Testing Plans: Collaborating with developers to test embedded firmware images on physical devices using RDK Automatics pytest framework.
* Developing Test Cases: Writing detailed test cases in pytest using the RDK Automatics pytest Framework.
* Defect Management: Identifying and documenting bugs.
* Security Testing: Comfortable with security frameworks like EMBA.
* Collaboration: Working closely with developers to understand features, reproduce bugs, and ensure testability of the code.
Key Skill Sets:
* Strong python skills.
* Testing Methodologies: Deep understanding of pytest and how to use it for both unit and integration tests.
* Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to dissect complex systems and identify potential failure points.
* Version Control: Familiarity with Gitlab pipelines for running test pipelines.
Main Deliverables:
* Automated test suites (unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, security).
* Test plans and strategies.
* Detailed bug reports.
* Test execution reports and quality metrics.
