Location: New York, NY 10065

Schedule

Part-Time: 15 hours/week (2 days/week)

Must work every Saturday & Sunday

Shifts: 6:30 AM-2:30 PM or 1:00 PM-9:00 PM (based on operational needs)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Room Service Associate to support hospital food service operations by delivering and collecting patient meal trays, assisting with menu selections, maintaining pantry supplies, and ensuring patients receive meals that meet their dietary requirements. This role serves as a liaison between patients, nursing staff, and clinical dietitians to provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect patient meal trays, snacks, and nourishments on assigned units.
• Distribute and collect patient menus; assist patients with meal selections.
• Ensure patients receive the correct meals according to diet orders.
• Verify tray accuracy before delivery and resolve missing or incorrect items.
• Orient new patients to the room service program.
• Maintain nursing unit pantry supplies and stock nourishments.
• Distribute and collect patient satisfaction surveys.
• Communicate with nursing staff, diet office, and clinical dietitians regarding patient meal needs.
• Collect soiled trays and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.
• Process guest and staff meal payments when applicable.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, food service, hospitality, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift meal trays throughout the shift.
• Ability to work weekends and assigned shifts.
